Solutions to the climate crisis

To combat climate change and build resilience to the impacts of climate change, we need a just, green and feminist southern led transition into a more sustainable world. This means investing more resources into the solutions that communities on the frontlines of climate change in the global south are developing.

Community led solutions are more effective as they take local contexts into account. They also have higher social - economic and environmental returns; produce results that are more equitable and also benefit marginalized groups.

ActionAid has documented examples of community led alternatives to combat climate change in 9 countries across Africa and Asia.
